On Trend Birthday

Fresh Squeezed Stamps On Trend 2013

Pink and orange hot distress ink sunset as the backdrop to my shiny silver city. Another quick entry for the 10 Minute Craft Dash. After inking and misting I heat set the background for a minute and liberally covered it in powder from my magic bag. I had all the stamps on one block and quickly restamped the skyline before heat embossing in silver. Masking tape and sequin ribbon to ground the image and stop the clock. 9 minutes 54.13 seconds, yay!

Fresh Squeezed Stamps On Trend 2013

Lots of glitter and shine for a sparkly new year birthday. Outside the 10 minute window I added some die cut letters to personalise the card. This card is also for Sentimental Sundays 'Pick from our Favourite Challenge', under Challenge #170: Happy Birthday and Papertake Weekly Challenge: Pick of the Year under the challenge from June: Hot Hot Hot.

Get Well 10 Minute Craft Dash Circle

Lawn Fawn Into The Woods

This card is for a friend who had an accident recently. I wanted to cheer him up, make him smile and hopefully forget about his injury for a bit! I hope this falls under the category of Get Well as I wanted to play along with the 4 Crafty Chicks
The deer was coloured very quickly using three shades of brown and a pink, please don't look too closely! Then I stamped my speech bubble and set to die cutting. It took 5 passes through my die-cutting machine to get all the shapes. More stamping, liquid glue, pop dots, Wink of Stella and a crazy dash for a few dabs of enamel! Did I make the 10 Minute Craft Dash cutoff?

I created this card in 8 minutes 54.13 seconds. Now I just have to hope this posted in time to link up to the challenge.

I designed a circular card so the I could enter Sentimental Sundays 'Pick from our Favourite Challenge', under Challenge #177: Shaped or Easel Cards, but mine isn't a birthday card so I'll have to enter it under Challenge #146: Anything Goes. I missed these first time round and really wanted to give it a go.

One last photo with the special envelope I created for the card. This time the card is facing away from the sunlight so you can see the pattern on the pale blue paper.

Green Rocket Bling: RIC#50, CTS#58, P4P#228

Waltzingmouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes, Lawn Fawn Cole's ABCs

I love the colours in the latest Runway Inspired Challenge, my only problem was I needed a little boys card and my mind kept showing me beautiful white embossed flowers. (Must see if I can do this before the challenge ends!) I stamped the rocket from Waltzingmouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes and used the shades of green, a little grey and white enamel found in the inspiration photo to colour. To highlight Jack's age I stamped the 5 in Memento New Sprout ink and brushed clear Wink of Stella over it. I also added some onto the light green on the  rocket to mimic the sheen of the fabric, plus some Star Dust Stickles to the rocket's plume. My port hole is covered in a copious amount of Glossy Accents and ringed with white enamel to mirror the sunglasses in the photo. I have used CAS(E) this sketch #58 for my card layout.

As usual at this time of year, natural daylight is in short supply and all my glittery bling appears quite understated. I assure you the card shines bright to the naked eye. I captured a little of it from the Stickles, Glossy Accents and enamel. However the Wink of Stella has remained elusive to the camera lens!

Lawnscaping Winter Blog Hop 2013

http://lawnscaping.blogspot.se/2013/12/lawnscaping-winter-blog-hop-weekend.html

Welcome from Lisa's fabulous blog!

I hope you enjoy my winter card that I have created for my first hop with Lawnscaping Challenges! I'm really looking forward to the gorgeous creations to be seen along the hop. If you want to start at the beginning so as not to miss out on all the fun go to the Lawnscaping Challenges Blog.

This card has gone through many revisions and I've finally gone with the less is best approach and removed all my extra snowy hills. I love the crisp line of the sledding slopes against the distressed ink snowy sky. Blue and orange may not be the first colour combination you think for a winter card, but this one has a special recipient in mind who's favourite colour is orange!

The bunny is on a spring so my little one can have some fun when he opens his card. Unfortunately the gloomy winter sky over Ireland didn't allow the camera to catch the lovely sparkle provided by the Wink of Stella glitter brush on the bunny's scarf.

I've coloured the gem using a Mandarin Flexmarker to match the scarf.

Next is Sabine's wonderful blog.
Don't forget to comment on each of the hoppers' posts as there will be lots of prizes. All information about the sponsors and prizes can be found on the Lawnscaping Home Page. Everyone will have until Sunday 15th December at 11:59pm EST to leave comments.

Lawn Fawn Tag

Lawn Fawn Winter Bunny & Peace Love Joy Tag

I've just received the Winter Bunny stamp and die, and I love it! Keeping the bunny & sled white with just a little grey shading and sliver metal work make this tag quick to produce in bulk. I've created my own distress ink background, using some trees from the Peace Love Joy stamp set, for Winter Bunny to whiz through. A smattering of  glitter and a splash of glimmer mist add a lovely shine to the background. Wink of Stella on the scarf, fabulous Lawn Fawn sequins and gold sparkle cord finish the tag.

10 Minute Craft Dash

Lawn Fawn Peace Love Joy, Hero Arts Merry & Bright

This is such a great challenge and preparation is the key! My stamps were on their blocks, all my tools, inks and cardstock were laid out, my sketch was ready and just the pop dots might hold me back (and the embossing and the glittering).  As I peeled my last back off and popped my layer down on the card I had under 2 minutes to add my glitter. My final time was 9 minutes 51.12 seconds. Yay!

Pinspired Polka Dots

Lawn Fawn Quinn's ABCs & Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-Pum

I have a box of buttons that I love to look at, touch and admire. I bought them to adorn cards, to share their beauty with my card recipients, but they've languished in their box, mine the only eyes to light upon them. I seem to have passed my love of buttons on to the next generation and the squeals of delight as I caught my little one tossing my cherished buttons in the air and letting them run through her hands has encouraged me to share and post my buttons (only a few though!).
The Lawnscaping Challenge #70 is to use polka dots and I've taken my colour scheme from the Pinspired Challenge #21.  I've distressed the polka-dot patterned paper and card stock with Antique Linen distress ink and coloured with pink Promarkers and some stickles.
