Celebrate & Party Princess Dreams

Paper Learning Curve - Grá O'Neill: A Day For Daisies Little Princess, Lawn Fawn Violet's ABCs, Wplus9 Onesie Two-sie, Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles, Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil

Finally getting a chance to show this gorgeous image from A Day For Daisies. Welcoming a new baby to the family is certainly something to celebrate with a party and I've had a go at pink blending for the dress too. This has been a challenge for me, but I've finally got a mix I like! Unfortunately I put the markers away before I photographed them so I can't remember exactly which ones I've used. I only have a few pinks so I'll just have to do some more colouring practice, what a chore!! At least there is another 30 day colouring challenge next month.

We'll have to see if my hair prediction rings true as we watch little Elodie grow. Last time I saw her there was a beautiful auburn hint to her hair. Can't wait for my next visit!
Hope you enjoyed your visit to my little patch of blogland and see you again soon!

Mermaid Lover's Birthday

"I love the glitter", "Did you make the candle?!" & "I love it anyway" where the responses to this card & my bought candle. I had to promise to make a candle sometime soon, even though I've not made one in twenty years!

Going Buggy's March Challenge is to 'use something on your card that wasn't intended for cardmaking'.  So many things are now used on cards that I found it difficult to think of something suitable.  I found some old wrapping paper (hence the designer creases!) that I thought would go perfectly with  A Day For Daisies' Birthday Mermaid & their "found paper" challenge, but was that enough?

I kept looking until I saw the No. 6 birthday candle.

Just right for the card & the cake.

The Polycraft Monday Challenge is Water, Water, Everywhere! A few forum friends have made lovely water wave cards & | really wanted to have a go. I used a scallop punch & the folded wrapping paper to make the waves. I love how the paper reflects the light (even on a dull day outside) & it's satisfying using the negative bits of the scallop punch.

I almost made the optional extra monotone theme on Papertake Weekly Challenge Anything Goes, but couldn't resist the orange balloons & the candle didn't have a turquoise trim.

April birthdays are great & Aoife agrees!

Cards Galore celebrated their first birthday on the 4th of April, Happy Birthday! Hope you enjoy your big birthday bash this month.

Stampalot Challenge is turning two this April & has lots going on. Happy Birthday!

Happy Valentine's Day!

After watching Kristina Werner's Friday Focus Video I had to try this type of fold & the Lawnscaping Challenge give me just the excuse. The hands forming the heart like the card folds.

I love Sally's ABCs & seem to use them all the time! Quinn's ABCs were the first set I bought & they look great filled with glitter (or promarkers or coloured card embossed in white).

The lips reminded me of the lips on the gorgeous A Day for Daisies digi that Tammy has generously provided for us to use in the challenge.  I've coloured them in poppy using a fine nib tip.
I really enjoyed colouring this image & love viewing it through the heart frame.

I knew I wanted to say love on the front & smile under the image inside the card, so after talking with my sis I came up with something that I hope makes sense when the card is open or closed.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
