Punches, Dies & Texture

This card contains so many of my go to items. My Martha Stewart Butterfly punch is always at hand, I use it so much I can justify buying more, can't I?! Lawn Fawn Quinn's ABCs is such a fun set, it can be used in so many ways & as soon as Quinn's 123s became available they were mine! A white gel pen was one of my first crafty purchases & it's still going strong over a year later.  From this you can tell I don't craft as much as I'd like, but I have a second pen ready to takeover from the first. Glossy accents provides my favourite textured finish & Cuttlebug's D'vine Swirls embossing folder is so versatile I've not tired of it yet. Spellbinders Posy Patch Dies & the matching Heartfelt creations stamps work so well together and last but not least my corner rounder punch.
Oops how did I forget it, glitter glue- everything looks good when it sparkles.

First...

...Post: Hello World!
...Competition entry: Going Buggy Challenge #1, Young Crafters Unite Challenge #6, Papertake Weekly Happy Highlights.
...Inking of Gorjuss Little Foxes Stamp.

I enjoy reading Enfys' Blog- Going Buggy, so when I saw she was running her first challenge, it spurred me on to some firsts as well. Having a focus really helps when you're starting out, so now I had my main colours: Red, White & Grey (or Black).

Where to next? Young Crafters Unite have a great sketch challenge running this month and I saw my card begin to take shape. Here's the sketch:

I turned the sketch 45° to fit on a spring fold card.

Then I saw the challenge at Papertake Weekly and I knew exactly which image my Glossy Accents & my Stickles were calling out for.

I've layered her pocket and flowers for depth, added glossy accents to her boots and flowers for shine and finally red stickles on the pocket heart for some glitter.

Supplies

Stamps: Gorjuss Little Foxes, Lawn Fawn Sally's ABCs, Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch
Dies & Punches: Spellbinders Posy Patch, Scallop punch
Paper: Doodlebug Design Inc, red card from stash

Promarkers:
This is the first time I've coloured dark hair and the first outing for some of my Promarker colours. So hopefully this is the first of many more posts.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you enjoyed your visit.
