Panda Birthday

I love this panda from Mama Elephant and just had to use him to play along with Can You Case It Colour Challenge. The black and the yellow are obvious, the grey is the panda shading and hopefully the rosy cheeks are allowed. A little watercolouring with distress crayons for the CASology cue card and who doesn't love to celebrate with Simon Says Stamp!

CAS No Line Bunny

I've been busy this month playing along on Instagram with Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker for the 30 Day Colouring Challenge. Thought it was time I blogged one of the cards as it is Day 26 already and I'll hopefully get time to do a review of the finished pieces at some stage. This is my first time trying no line colouring, though I think the rabbit has changed shape a little bit!

Birthday Snap

A fun colour spectrum birthday card inspired by the Fusion Card Challenge. I've used the picture for my rainbow colours and the sketch has been stretched a little! I've coloured the images and background strips with promarkers.

I love adding notes with a sharpie just like you would to a real polaroid.

WMS PJ Party Gift Tag

More Waltzingmouse Pajama Partying and I'm still dotty about glitter paste, but I've used gold this time. This is a fun tag for a bride to be with a little fiesta fringe in ombre pink and glitter, of course! I used some partial diecutting and a trimmer to make the large tag and distress markers and promarkers to colour the images.

Using watercolour cardstock left me with the dilemma of how to colour a white dress when the cardstock has a cream tone. I've used Old Paper and Weathered Wood to create some shadows and give the illusion of a white dress, the blue background wash and distress inking help enhance this. Clear Wink of Stella gives a subtle shine to the dress.

Old Goat

I've had a go at something a little different for me: Peel off outline stickers!  I won these in a raffle and thought they'd go well with the cupcake goat. I've used the CAS(E) this sketch #115 and a freestyle collage style for the Card Concept's cupcake challenge.

This little goat was coloured for  Kathy Racoosin's (The Daily Marker) 30 Day Colouring Challenge and I'm so glad he made it to a card. The goat is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, clear embossed and coloured with distress markers. The cupcake decorations are stamped in sliver & iridescent sparkle embossed.

August Challenges

A spot of watercolouring using Memento Luxe inks for the monkey and balloons and for the background colourwash over the masked clouds. The leafy stamped panel with a nod to Orla Kiely is something I've wanted to do for ages but am only getting round to it now. I bought the stamp set ages ago just to do this but never got round to it. Originally I thought my tag would go on the balloon strings but the proportions weren't right so I popped it directly on to one of the balloons. Lastly lots of Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.
