Happy Birthday!

I love playing with distress inks & fussy cutting. The cat, dog, bee, butterfly & tree were paper pieced and the flowers, sky & grass were coloured using distress inks. I've highlighted the flight paths, the bees wings & the birds on the patterned paper with glitter glue and I've only used one Promarker to stripe the bee. The flower stamps come in parts, so each one is unique.

Chrysanthemum maybe

I had so much fun making the flower, but I'm not sure of its classification, chrysanthemum maybe. Every card needs a bit of sparkle & the glitter glue catches the light even in this low light situation. I adore this flocked patterned paper, it was difficult cutting it but it had to be done (I'll just have to buy some new ones). This was my first time embossing on vellum & my only purple ink was a colorbox chalk so I had to work very fast! (Must get a more suitable ink for embossing)

Here's a close up of the flower in better light conditions.

Good Luck!

The Leaving Certificate Exams started today & I wanted to wish everyone Good Luck especially Dee. May you have the correct answers to all the questions you are asked!

I've been seeing spots and dots all over the place & I wanted to give it a go. For Going Buggy's 'Make a card using one colour', I've used lots of lucky green & a punch-art* four leaf clover.  In total, I've only used 3 promarkers to colour all the cardstock, with some peeled paint distress ink for the stamping. All the green ties in with Fab 'n' Funky Challenges 'Go green!'

Sentimental Sundays have provided a bonus sketch with their 'Show me your SPOTS' theme. I masked the centre of the large circle to create a spotty edge, fully spotted one of the smaller circles & edged the other. A dotty embossed background provide even more spottiness!

*The punch-art is actually die cut hearts:
