Lawnscaping Winter Blog Hop 2013

I hope you enjoy my winter card that I have created for my first hop with Lawnscaping Challenges! I'm really looking forward to the gorgeous creations to be seen along the hop. If you want to start at the beginning so as not to miss out on all the fun go to the Lawnscaping Challenges Blog.

This card has gone through many revisions and I've finally gone with the less is best approach and removed all my extra snowy hills. I love the crisp line of the sledding slopes against the distressed ink snowy sky. Blue and orange may not be the first colour combination you think for a winter card, but this one has a special recipient in mind who's favourite colour is orange!

The bunny is on a spring so my little one can have some fun when he opens his card. Unfortunately the gloomy winter sky over Ireland didn't allow the camera to catch the lovely sparkle provided by the Wink of Stella glitter brush on the bunny's scarf.

I've coloured the gem using a Mandarin Flexmarker to match the scarf.

    Oh my gosh, I LOOOVE this card for so many reasons! The bunny sledding down the hill is stinkin cute, the sky is magical looking (and gorgeous!), and the tag is perfect! P.S. And yes, you were right - I love your less-is-more look ;)

    awesome card!! that snowflaked sky is beautiful!!!! and the bunny is just toooooo cute! i LOVE the orange!! i think it's a perfect compliment to the blues and whites!! and that it's the recipient's favorite color is even better!! the snow bank is perfect and i love that the bunny is on a spring!!! this is amazing!!!!
