I've made
a project using my oldest Waltzingmouse Christmas set, though it's much more than just a Christmas set. This is one of the first sets from Waltzingmouse Stamps that I came across when I first started stamping. I just love it [in case you haven't guessed by my recent posts!] and keep coming back to it time and time again.
I've trimmed the trees with liquid platinum embossing powder and the stars have been coated in layers of it giving them great dimension. The edges of each of the squares are inked in silver to soften them and they are evenly positioned on a rectangle of silver mirror card. I've masked the sentiments so that I could stamp them side by side and mix up the greetings. I've round the bottom corners of the card base to mirror the rounded tree bottoms and the curved edges of the cakes in the photo inspiration.
I've used the photo inspiration from the Fusion Card Challenge for my colour choices and the three trees represent the three layers of cake. Subconsciously I incorporated the rectangle element of the sketch in the card design too.
