Watercolour View #1

Lawn Fawn Critters in the Sea, Year Two, Quinn's ABCs

This card has been in the making for quite a while, but as usual family has to be the first priority. I'm glad to be able to join in with Virginia's first challenge as I was afraid I would miss it.

This card has been inspired by Virginia's View first challenge: Watercolouring.

I've use heavy watercolour paper as I loaded the cardstock with a water wash before I introduced the distress ink colour and glimmer mist shine. While the background was drying I watercoloured my birthday fish with distress inks and gelatos mixed with water. Once the background was fully dry I heat embossed the sentiment in white and stamped the fish. Then stickles, sequins and glossy accents to finish.

  1. I am SO happy that you got this "labor of love" made!! I love that you used the water-colors for this design...it's utterly sweet and perfect! The little fish are adorable (great job on the fussy cutting and pop-up dimensions)! Thanks so much for linking up to the first Virginia's View's Challenge!

  3. Fab card, Grá - the blue background is beautiful, the swirly bit at the top looks like the undertow of a wave - and those little orange fish really pop.
