CAS Waltzingmouse Fanatics OLW159

Lots of masking and distress inking on this one. I've tried to use as many colours from the Waltzingmouse Fanatic Challenge and kept it to one layer for One Layer Wednesday Challenge on Karen's blog. The colours reminded me of Autumn and all the falling leaves, so I had to use Teeny Trees. Ideal for CAS-ual Friday's Challenge and Happy First Birthday to Fresh Squeezed Stamps
My biggest challenge was getting my masking tape less sticky, this is my second card as the first needs to be cropped and added as a layer to a new unripped card base. I've not added any glossy accents or stickles, as I love the smooth one layer feel of this card. This doesn't have to be posted for a bit so I might stickle & glossy accent my first card to see if I'll do it to this one.

Wobble Trio

Hero Arts & Lawn Fawn

A trio of Christmas cards a little early for the season. I've fussy cut my Hero Arts deer, snowman and Lawn Fawn drum and stuck them on with a spring so you can wobble them to your heart's content.  Each image is coloured with Promarkers and I've placed a corresponding Promarker coloured card sprayed with glimmer mist, behind the Hero Arts sentiment. The base layer is embossed with different folders and adhered to the base card with foam squares.
Now for a closer look at all three:

Card #1:
Hero Arts ReindeerHero Arts ReindeerHero Arts Reindeer

Hero Arts deer coloured with Wild Cranberry Promarker, Hero Arts Sentiment stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and Papermania Snowflake embossing folder.

Card #2:

Lawn Fawn Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-PumLawn Fawn Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-Pum

Lawn Fawn drum coloured with Island Lagoon Promarker, Hero Arts Sentiment stamped in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl embossing folder. I added the pa-rum-pa-pum-pum to ground the drum in the season, as I use this image all year round.

Card #3:

Hero Arts SnowmanHero Arts Snowman

Hero Arts Snowman coloured with Twighlight Sky Promarker, Hero Arts sentiment stamped in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Stormy Sky and Kars Snowflakes embossing folder.

I think this set would be great for the males in my life. I love the colours, bold stripes, wobble action and simple layout with only a hint of bling which is perfect for the boys.

Happy New Home

Lots of my friends have moved so I'm in the new house cards zone for the last while, hence my take on the current Muse Card Challenge.  I love Therese's card inspiration for Muse #34. As soon as I saw her little houses, I wanted to get out my Home Sweet Home stamps and dies, but I had to wait until today to play! I've also used twine, white embossing, hearts and reversed the kraft on white colour scheme.

I'm addicted to paint sprays and had to forcibly restrain myself from spraying more. At least it will be a reminder to the new home owner to protect their surfaces lest they get splattered with paint! My houses (especially the middle one) are more muted in real life and I've used an Icicle Promaker to add a little shade and definition to the white embossing. My happy die cut is coloured with Antique Linen distress ink and adhered with microdots.

Happy Birthday Peter!

Happy Birthday to my favourite radio presenter, hope you enjoy your day as you turn the big three zero! Be sensible as you need to be kind to your body now that you are older!!!
I've used lots of favourites on this card: Lawn Fawn Quinn's and Sally's ABCs, sequins, distress inks, Stickles, sprays and mists.
I've been following the Fusion Card Challenge for a while and wishing I could join in, finally made it for #17! I've used the sketch and taken some musical inspiration from the photo.

My colour scheme came from the patterned paper, so I distressed all my white card and chose a kraft card base. I didn't really like the kraft colour I had so I slathered it in distress ink, sprayed it with dylusions white linen ink and misted with glimmer mist. Much better and so much fun! Add Stickles, sequins and twine, and hey presto a card fit for any brother.

The inside has a stamped greeting and I've continued the radio theme. A bit of masking and the 'for you' became 'for your'!  My twine is hidden behind some washi tape (another favourite).

Craft Dash CAS(E) Favourite

Lawn Fawn Stayed Tuned, Home Sweet Gnome

The front of this card took 6 minutes 52 seconds. This is in part due to the CAS(E) sketch I followed. Having a sketch to work with is such a great way to focus and speed up the creative process, you have an idea where you're going from the start. Then Paulina's colour palette help me have all the correct colour supplies ready. I had every thing laid out: my dies, ink pads, stamps on blocks, patterned paper pad, washi tapes, Stickles, Promarkers and guillotine. I used a count down because if I had any time left I wanted to stamp the inside with a custom sentiment to make sense of the bee. For the inside, I lined up my letters one by one with the bee and its trail, inked in blue and brown stamped and got to colouring. Then I realised I had forgotten to stamp the second Z. The buzzer sounded just as I lifted my block from the upside down Z I'd stamped in my haste. So 10 minutes inside and out!

Lawn Fawn Smitty's ABCs, Home Sweet Gnome

I like the higgledy-piggledy look of this sentiment as if it is buzzing! No time for glitter inside or corner rounding, but that's the nature of the challenge. I can't believe how excited I felt to have finished inside and out as the buzzer sounded. Even though I was slapping my letters together haphazardly, Smitty's ABCs by Lawn Fawn still managed to stay relatively straight. I normally line my letter stamps up so carefully and I just love how Lawn Fawn design their alphabet stamps: perfectly spaced with multiple common letters (Well, how many times will you be under time pressure and need two Zs??)
